Roma Infinity Scarf pattern

Abbreviations

  • Ch = chain
  • Dc = double crochet
  • Fpdc = front post double crochet
  • Sk = skip
  • Sl st = slip stitch

Notes on the pattern

I’ve used Stylecraft Special Aran in shade Pale Rose. This is an excellent value, soft yarn that is available in over 45 colours – click this link to buy!

You will need 200g/392m which is two balls of Stylecraft Special Aran.

You will need a 5mm crochet hook, a darning needle and scissors.

The pattern is worked in the round. At the end of each round you will join to the first stitch with a slip stitch and turn.

The scarf is designed to be looped twice around your neck.

The pattern is written in US terms.

Instructions in between * * mean to repeat the instructions until the pattern says otherwise.

Instructions

Using a 5mm hook, ch250. Join to the first ch with a sl st. Turn.

Round 1 – Ch3 (counts as dc), ch 1 more, sk the next ch, dc in the next ch, *sk the next ch, ch1, dc in the next ch*. Repeat from * to * until 1 ch remains. Sk the last ch, ch1, join to the top of the starting ch3. Turn

Round 2 – Ch2 (doesn’t count as a st), dc in the ch1 space, fpdc around the dc from the previous round, *dc in the next ch1 space, fpdc around the dc from the previous round*. Repeat from * to * around. Your final fpdc will be made around the starting ch3. Join to the first stitch with a sl st. Turn.

Round 3 – Ch3 (counts as dc), ch 1 more, *sk the fpdc, dc in the next dc, ch1*. Repeat from * to * around. When you reach the end of the round you will sk the final fpdc and join to top of the starting ch3 with a sl st. Turn

Round 4 – 15 – Repeat round 2 and 3

Round 16 – Repeat round 2. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
