Crochet coaster pattern

In need of a last minute Christmas gift? Look no further than this super quick and easy crochet coaster pattern! Each coaster takes less than 10 minutes to make and is a great stocking filler and even better, a stash buster!

Materials

  • 4mm crochet hook
  • 5g Aran weight cotton yarn. I use Paintbox Cotton Aran.
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle

Abbreviations (US terms)

  • Dc = double crochet
  • Ch = chain

Instructions

Round 1 – Ch2, make 11dc into the magic ring. Join with a slip stitch to the first dc. ch1.

Round 2 – in the same space as the ch1, make 2dc. Make 2dc in each stitch around. (24). Ch1.

Round 3 – in the same space as the ch1, make 3dc. *Ch1, skip the next stitch, make 3dc in the next stitch.* repeat around. Ch1 and join to first dc with a slip stitch. Ch1.

Round 4 – in the same space as the ch1, make 1dc. Dc in each of the next 2 stitches, dc in the ch space. *Dc in each of the next 3 stitches, dc in the chain space*. Repeat around. Join with slip stitch to first dc. Finish off with an invisible join.

I usually make these in a set of four and tie them up in a piece of ribbon as a lovely gift for loved ones! Enjoy!
