Assembling the pouch
Seam your squares together in the layout shown above. I used the mattress stitch for this but you can use your preferred sewing method or you can slip stitch your squares together.

Fold the bottom two squares on top of the top squares as shown in the photo.

There is a video on my Instagram to help with the assembly.

Finishing the pouch
Round 1 - Join your yarn to the middle of the square on the edge of your pouch. Sc in each stitch and each ch corner space around the top of the pouch. Join with a sl st to the first stitch. Ch1, turn. (102)

Round 2 - Round 6 - Sc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the first stitch. Ch1, turn. (102)
Round 7 - 2sctog 4 times, sc in the next 35 stitches, 2sctog 8 times, sc in the next 35 stitches, 2sctog 4 times. Join with a sl st to the first stitch. Ch1, turn. (86)
Round 8 - Sc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the first stitch. Fasten off. (86)
Adding the zipper
Round 1 - Sc around the zipper. To do this you will need to insert your hook into the hole on the zipper and make a sc, pulling the stitch through the hole. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Using your darning needle, seam the zipper to the granny square pouch. Weave in your ends and fasten off.
