Materials
- 5mm crochet hook
- Approx 40g Aran weight yarn. I’ve used Stylecraft Graphite and Paintbox Vanilla from Lovecrafts!
- Darning needle
- Scissors

- Ch = chain
- Hdc = half double crochet
- Puff = puff stitch – yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull through (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert your hook into the same stitch, yarn over, pull through (5 loops on hook), yarn over, insert your hook into the same stitch, yarn over, pull through (7 loops on hook). Yarn over, pull through all 7 loops
Ch 70
Row 1 – Starting in third ch, Hdc across (68), ch2, turn
Row 2 – Hdc in first 2 stitches, *puff (detailed description above), Hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * to * until last 3 stitches, Hdc each. Ch2, turn

Row 3 – Hdc in each stitch across. (68). Ch2, turn
Row 4 – Hdc in first 3 stitches, *puff, Hdc in next stitch*. Repeat from * to * until last 2 stitches. Hdc in last 2. Ch2, turn
Row 5 – Hdc in each stitch across. (68). Ch2, turn
Row 6 – repeat row 2
Row 7 – Hdc in each stitch across. (68). Ch2, turn
Row 8 – repeat row 4
Row 9 – Hdc in each stitch across (68). Ch2, turn
Row 10 – repeat row 2
Row 11 – Hdc in each stitch across (68)
Finish off.

Let’s twist!
With the wrong side facing you, take your two ends and fold them in half as shown in the photo below. You will then interlock the two sides and sew together.
