This snood is the perfect winter warmer. It doubles over and can either be worn as a double layer scarf or one layer as a scarf and one as a hood!
This pattern is for adult size but can be easily adjusted to make it bigger or smaller by adding or removing chains from your starting chain, just ensure you work an even number of chains.
There is a video on my Instagram to help with the no-twist chain!
- 6mm crochet hook
- 200g/400yds Aran weight yarn in Mustard. I used Paintbox yarn from LoveCrafts
- Darning needle
- Ch = chain
- Mini puff = insert your hook, yarn over, pull through, yarn over again, insert your hook into the same space, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops on your hook.
Round 1 – ch 200, join to the first chain with a slip stitch. Make sure your chain hasn’t twisted (you can watch a video on my Instagram to help with this). In the first chain (the same place you slip stitched), mini puff, *ch1, skip the next ch, mini puff in the next ch*. Repeat the instructions between * and * until the final ch, ch1, skip the last ch, join with a slip stitch to the first mini puff. Ch1, turn.
Round 2 – mini puff in the first ch1 space, ch1, skip the next mini puff, *mini puff in the next ch1 space, ch1, skip the next mini puff*. Repeat the instructions in between * to * until you reach the last mini puff. Ch1, skip the last mini puff. Join to the first mini puff with a slip stitch. Ch1, turn
Round 3-20 – repeat round 2
You may choose to work additional rounds here for a wider snood.
On the last row, do not ch1, fasten off. Weave in your ends and you’re finished!
